Construction has begun
Our general contractor, Hansen, Inc., broke ground June 1 beginning work on the utilities and the foundation. We are hoping to have all construction far enough along to be enclosed by winter. Elevations (below) and blueprint (right) were provided by our architect, Design Alliance, Inc. of Waukee.
What was built? ▲ Sanctuary to hold approximately 1,000 people on the east. ▲ Office area on the north. ▲ Faith Formation facility on the west with 22 separate rooms and with an activity room that will seat 70 (to be used for youth, high school and parish meetings and may also be rented). ▲ Renovation of our present worship space to a parish hall.
Cost $6,500,000 — $2,000,000 raised in our building campaign and $4,500,000 borrowed.
